How's everyone feel about the 6.9 inch screen? My Note 9 is perfect for one hand use, but reading some hands on impressions, this isn't going to be a one handed phone and the camera protruding on the back adds some extra heft. Throw on a case and how bulky are we looking at?

Here a quick comparison side by side pic.
Then the link has specs like weight and overall size dimensions :-)

Honestly, given that it's getting it's extra display size over the Note 9, (6.9" vs 6.4"), from a taller, with less bezel format... I have to wonder if viewing movies/videos will be much, if really at all, different between the two.

When I'm watching videos I tend to be more focused in the middle'ish area of the screen, not the left or right areas.

Makes me think that the viewing experience between the two devices will be the same.

The Note 10+ is wider than the Note 9, the same height, so I'm thinking that phone will provide a better experience over the Note 9 than the S20 would.

Thoughts from folks who have watched a lot of video on both the Note 9 and 10+?

You must have giant hands for that Note9 to be perfect for one hand use lol. I posted this in another thread, it may help you decide...

Here's how the S20 Ultra compares in cubic volume (in millimeters) to other huge flagships. As you can see, it'll feel noticeably bigger in the hand than even the gargantuan Note10+:

S20 Ultra: 111,689.6
Note9: 108,848.608
OnePlus 7 Pro: 108,603.792
Note8: 104,533.0
iPhone 11 Pro Max: 99,568.44
S10 5G: 99,539.4924
S9+: 99,176.13
Note10+: 98,983.524

Be heavier also .

It's .2" taller than the Note9. The width and thickness are the same.

Seriously, I remember all the whining & moaning about the S10+ size, when it wasn't *that* much bigger than the S9+. Maybe I have big hands (S10+ without a case almost fits in my hand).

How about we wait for the demos to hit the stores before declaring it's "too big"?

There was whining about the S10 Plus size being bigger than the S9 Plus? But it's actually smaller than the S9 Plus...

The actual display is thinner width, but taller than the Note 10+. Not a content friendly aspect ratio for me. The curved corners also offset any gain from slightly less curved edges. Keeping my N10+.

The same thing happened with the Note 10+ and Note 9. People were complaining about how big the Note 10+ was even though the dimensions were almost the same. They weren't looking at dimensions, just the screen size, and assuming the phone would be much bigger overall. They weren't taking the smaller bezels into consideration.

I had been saying this since they changed the aspect ratio with the S8, I was hoping for more width, most YouTube videos are 16:9 in landscape

Bigger is better, so I'm more than OK with the size. My Note 9 is certainly comfortable for me for one handed use, and as I'm approaching a half-century, my eyes and I appreciate the larger screens more than ever.

It's funny how Samsung is heavily promoting the S20 ultra just like Apple was heavily promoting the 11 pro max. I think there are doing this knowing that nobody can afford it but still promoting it as it's the main phone and as if everybody can afford it knowing they can't.

If you're referring to the commercials that's because they try to hook you on features and not price.

After trade-ins & incentives, the Ultra will probably be around $800-900. If you can get a monthly payment plan, it would be $40-50/month, which is tolerable.

If you trade in a Note 10 you can get the base Ultra for 700

As I will be getting rid of my iPad mini and going totally android and I'm paying monthly for it interest free for 18 months I thought what the hell! I'm going for the ultra with 512gb just because.......well, I can. The big screen in all its glory will be great! And no tablet needed.
