Um... So why all the hate for this phone?

Only reason to hate on the phone is if you don't use a case. I'll never see the back of the phone again once I get my Seido or Otterbox installed ;p.

Lol I'm so wit u on dis bro case goes on neva see da back again my EVO still has a case on it and I don't use it

As someone who has both I can tell you that you are wrong there. The processor, the screen, the memory, updated Sense, dedicated camera button, bigger battery - it was a massive upgrade to an already great device. The 3D feature aside (I personally dig it, some people don't, I know) the camera was still pretty good. Not any worse than the EVO, based on the hundreds of pics I've taken with both. I liked the feel of the 3D. It wasn't flimsy plastic. I need that because of the environments I work in and the machinery I am around sometimes. The EVO was a beefy beast and the 3D was a rock solid build as well. I do think the new one is much further ahead of the 3D than the 3D was to the EVO, though. Although... we'll see how ICS runs on the 3D.

I have had both fones as well. The EVO was a champ and da 3d was not bad I just sold it and got a photon. My girl has da 3d now (should have waited she could got dis) and it needs ics bad. I say da 3d was a stepping stone to da EVO4g lte nothing major doe

Mostly, I think its Jealousy. Some folks are married to their networks and can't stand that Evo seems to set a new standard every year.

The EVO 4G LTE has many similarities to the HTC One. Same software, same screen tech and size, same processor, same amount of Ram. But, recall that the original Evo had many similarities to its Incredible cousin on Verizon, and Nexus ONE cousin on T-Mobile.

As far as software is concerned, there is literally nothing that sets this phone apart from the One X. The user experience looks to be the same. What sets this apart from the one on the hardware side is..

Bigger Battery,
microSD card slot
kick stand
HD Voice capable
Dedicated camera button.

Yet HTC managed to keep an equally thin profile.

Wrong.

It's just a phone, of course people will get over it. Not like there's anything we can do about it. It's less than a day old, that's why there's so much discussion.
How is it wrong? People do find fault with everything - even you. Yes, I said it. Get over it. This device is not the One X. :p

Here is my take on the design of this phone. First, the One X is a beautifully designed phone, even if the screen size is too big for my tastes. Secondly, the HTC EVO 4g LTE Pony Express Supreme (I added those last bits) just oozes that it is a true successor to the Evo 4g. Compared to each other, I would say the One X is a more attractive device, but the new Evo has the DNA of the EVO line better than the new, smooth One X could. I'm quite happy with the design (though I would prefer a 4.3").

Have you seen the iPhone? The industrial design is beautiful and forward thinking. This design? 2009. It's not always about specs. It would be so f'ing nice to have an android phone that is SEXY.
