Unable to add VPN?

Hello all,
just got an iconia a500 and enjoying it. I am trying to set up a vpn account but my device will not hold the settings. i have tried a pptp & a l2tp setup but it just wont take. any ideas?

ps. the device has been rooted.

I just spent the last 30 min swearing regarding the exact same thing...

For some reason the save button is located under the button on your upper right corner of the screen.
