Galaxy Tab s2 St T810
When I touch screen lock type (currently set to None), I immediately get an error message "Unable to verify finger" and the 60 minute time restriction starts over. Neither the drive nor the SD card are encrypted. I have disabled any device administrators. All software and security certificates are up to date.

Welcome to Android Central! Did you ever set up your fingerprint unlock?

I moved this from the Galaxy S2 forum (which is for the old phone) to the Tab S2 forum.

I don't believe I setup any lock at all on this new tablet - that's why it's so confusing.
I am unable to do anything at all at this lock screen. Before when I was asked to scan my fingerprint to unlock, before it just began refusing to cooperate at all, it recognized none of the three fingerprints I would've certainly registered, had I done so - which I don't believe I did.
thank you for moving the thread to the correct location.

I bought the tablet new. I didn't see your suggestion until now. However, I did use Device Manager to reset the password successfully, although my initial attempt at it didn't work. All is right with the world now. Thank you!
