Unable to disable Full screen mode for Boomerang on S9

[Android Central Question]

I saw on a different Forum that with other Android phones you can manually disable Boomerang to be in full screen mode so that the videos don't show up with the distorted colors. But on my new Galaxy S9 that is not an option. Boomerang is grayed out and will not let you uncheck it under the settings. All my Boomerang videos save with distortion and weird colors over the video! Can anyone help?

Any answers on this? I have Uninstaller the Boomerang app multiple times, I'm unable to turn off full screen mode in settings & even using the Boomerang option in the Instagram app gives me color distorted video.
Any ideas?
