Unable to download s6 update .. error please help.

I am unable to download or even check for my s6 edges's software update. Every time I try manually it says ''Unable to download software update a network or server update occurred" It says last checked on 5/10/15. Two sprint updates have been released since then .. and i am still unable to download. Anyone with a similar problem? Any solutions?

Do you have a sim card in it or is it activated? I know updates won't even show if you just try over WiFi
