unable to force update?

Does anyone else have a problem with force updating their phone? I keep trying and it wont allow me...

the first two times I got the battery was low (which it was full!) and now its saying no usb connection (when it clearly is connecteD)

You can not force an OTA update.
Period.
Full stop.

If you suspect your phone might have missed one, or started one that failed, you can reset things and get back in line for one.

But the push servers determine who is going to get an update and when. If your device is not on their list and your serial number has not come up, you wait or side-load.

So Maybe explain exactly how you were trying to go about it, and what does the USB connection have to do with anything, and exactly which model of phone you are working with.

I figured the model ofthe phone was evident since this is in the One X Forum.
And You can Force Update your phone by hooking it up to a usb cable to the pc and opening the HTC Sync Program.. than downloading the update, and pretty much forcing your phone to update.

There are many different versions of the One X.
Are you using AT&T version?
Are you using the Australian version?
Are you using the International Quad Core version?

IT MATTERS.

That's not forcing an update. That's side-loading. And if you download the wrong update (because you thought there was only one version of the HOX) you run the risk of bricking your phone.

nvm, I called HTC and had ATT give me a new phone.

I was downloading the right file's off of HTC's Website, thank you tho
