unable to peform factory reset

Hi,

I'm one of those complete idiots who enables a screen pattern lock and forgets it within the next 2 hours.

Now I'm incapable of peforming factory restores ( shutting down, holding down volume up and down + powerbutton ) nothing works.
Each possible button reset / restore guide just keeps rebooting my phone, or it does absolutely nothing at all.

Is there any other way I can remove the pattern?

I really need to get back in to my phone.

I managed to resolve the problem by my self, by downgrading back to kitkat.
Using flashtool on computer.
