I have rooted my Droid 2 using One Click and am having some frustrating issues trying to back up my phone. I cannot get Titanium Backup installed; it keeps claiming I do not have root (which I in fact do). I cannot install busybox either; it claims my nand is locked. I have tried manually installing busybox and that had not helped.

So today I tried to do a nandroid backup. I entered into Recovery Mode and there is no option listed for nandroid. All I have is:

reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
----------------------------
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command

Any advice would be appreciated as I am new to poking around under the hood of any Android device.

what he means is do you have the droid 2 bootstrap app. to boot into clockwork recovery, you need to have that bootstrap app, otherwise youll just boot into regular recovery

I did not have it installed. I do now and it does not appear to do anything; I still go into regular Recovery mode.

did you run the bootstrap. you cant just install it. it should ask you for root access. if it says "success" and you still cant get into recovery its a different issue.

open [droid 2 bootstrap]> select [bootstrap recovery]> allow SU permissions> if it says success, press reboot into recovery and create a backup.

Turns out something got horked with my root privileges. I derooted and rerooted with SuperOneClick and everything works properly now.
