Unable to take Portrait mode photos with front facing camera on Pixel2

Figured out a solution - settings, apps, select google play store, storage, clear cache. when you relaunch the app you should see a bunch of google apps in update queue, including camera. Hope this saves someone time

Yes its working though. You just have to do is go to the front camera & click potrait mode yeah i understand its will not focus you but after go to the potrait mode just click photo & when you go to the preview its show the photo with potraited
