Hey all! First time poster here. I've been unable to transfer anything via s beam, nfc or the like to my mother's note 2 and vice versa. We turned on both s beam and nfc in the settings menu and followed the rest of the instructions for beaming, but we can't seem to send anything to each other, not even images from the photo gallery. I don't see an nfc icon on the notification menu as some have pointed out on their phones. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the fact that I have the sprint version of the note 2, but my mom and I both have Android v4.1.2, and we can't beam anything to each other, or anyone else for that matter. Anybody have any troubleshooting ideas as to how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated. :)

The bulk of the process revolves around your settings menu. This can be accessed by pulling down the notifications bar, then pressing the cog in the right hand side of the screen. Once inside, the first thing you?ll want to do is tap the ?More settings? option under the sub menu ?Wireless and networks?. Now switch S Beam on. To do this, scroll down to the File/data transfer menu and tap the S Beam toggle.

To send content across using S Beam, it?s as simple as tapping two devices together. Before doing so though, you need to have the file you want to send open. This can be a picture, an MP3, contact or a video file. Once your devices touch back to back, an option will appear on your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 prompting you to tap the screen to send it. Once done, you?ve successfully shared a file using Samsung S Beam on your Galaxy Note 2
