For those of us who paid Google and extra $14 to get their device after everyone else, take a look at this for a bit of humor relief:

The Google Nexus 7 Is the Worst Gadget To Unbox

They took the basic premise of an OS from Apple, but they couldn't learn how to sell, ship or box their devices?

I sure hope the actual OS/Hardware is better than my experience so far.

My Staples preorder beat my Google one. I had zero issues opening mine. Seemed very simple to me.

Funny is funny. I could see Google doing this on purpose to get a good laugh at all the unboxing videos.

The video is funny. Makes me want to do an unboxing and try to do it perfect unlike these people(try).

But about the rest.. The concept of a 'touch screen' device has been around for a LONG time. We've had resistive touchscreens on devices for a while; PDA's, etc..

The only thing Apple did was slam a capacitive screen on and give it some flares and market it was 'innovative'. If you looked into Android you'd see that it was a project going on BEFORE the iPhone.

See here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Android_(operating_system)

Android was started in 2003, bought by Google in 2005, and had an official release in 2008.

Whereas the iPhone development started in 2005. The only difference is that Apple beat Google in releasing a finished product. Google didn't steal anything from Apple, in fact you could say Apple stole from Google. I don't care though.

It was a REAL bugger to open. Was like they super-glued the outer slider cover (which did NOT slide) to the inner product box. I actually slid a razor knife in to get it off. Taking the cover off the product box was another trick. This video does NOT lie.

Sent from my AWESOME Nexus 7 via Tapatalk 2 :)
