lol and just as I was going to unlock/root my fiancee's device. Thanks!

At least then the devs can pull official JB updated binaries/proprietary files from the phones to update our current ROMs.

Good deal for the rest of the Sprint Galaxy Nexus users waiting on JB to drop !

If it turns out to be true, that would be really cool.
I am running a 4.1.1 ROM but I always prefer one direct from the source.
Looks like I may have to return to stock if Google sends it out.

Thanks for the info, Phil.
You da man.

Mav.

I've rooted and am running a custom JB rom. Can't remember which one at the moment, phone's in the car.

Would it be beneficial to flash this rom.

Will i have to return to stock?

Will this improve custom roms?

(1) Probably not, I'd sit and wait for the custom roms to incorporate it. If anything, new radios will be what you want.

(2) Yes.

(3) Yes.

SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!

Just bought my son a Galaxy Nexus today, after seeing mine he decided it was the phone he wanted.

Haha. I saw the title, and thought, "I have to click to see what this person is quoting from a clueless CSR". We've all seen it before. I'll read it to see the flack. Than I see that Phil posted it.
THIS makes me and my locked/stock Nexus very happy. :)

@ratsttam,

You still running locked/stock? You would be the last I would figure for this given our days back on the Epic 4g :)

After http://forums.androidcentral.com/sprint-galaxy-nexus/200365-missing-recovery-mode.html this little issue... I put it back to stock, crossed my fingers that the updates would come through. I still can't access the stock recovery, but the last update installed, so I guess it was all good. If THIS update fails, than it's down to Sprint to have it replaced since there is obviously something wrong with it.

Honestly, the Epic 4g was easier to work with than the Nexus. [shrugs]

Lol...I can't believe I was talking about rooting just yesterday to get Jellybean...and now this. This is the absolutely best news I gotten all day, I can't wait!!!!!! :D:D:D

Thanks Z. Nice to see you here too. I upgraded to the Nexus a month or so ago. My brother in law has the Epic now. Full stock on both for the moment. Go figure...

It looks like the news is a bit more confirmed from the post on the front page that Jerry put up a little bit ago.

Ohhh hopefully this means they'll be working on jb for the s3
