So I chatted with Google support yesterday. My phone has been getting really hot and freezing or shutting down on me pretty much anytime I record a video a minute or longer and sometimes just randomly since about two weeks ago. They said it would fall under warranty protection and would send the form over for me to a replacement. I saw the below in the email and don't want to get screwed. It hasn't happened since Sunday, so I am concerned about what if they can't get the phone to overheat or shut down. . Then what? Will they charge me full price?
"You may incur charges up to the full price of your item if our service center determines the issue with your returned device isn’t covered under warranty. Refer to the warranty card in the packaging or the manufacturer’s website for more details on your limited warranty"
