Hello,

I flashed the Dalvik2Dev Mod (located here) on my phone and I forgot to make a nandroid backup before flashing it and now I would like to remove the mod and move the dalvik-cache to it's original location and was hoping someone on the forums might be able to guide me through this process to undo whatever the mod did.

TIA,
Nosixx

This probably should be in the root section.... I'd make a backup wipe cache, dalvik, boot, and system, then reflash the rom + any other flashables that go with it.

Quickly thru this together. It is a flashable version that will delete the init.d script that creates this mod. All it does is go into /system/etc/init.d and delete the 05dalvik2dev script. Just wipe cache and dalvik cache from recovery prior to flashing.

NOTE: This should allow dalvik to be restored to its true locatin within the /data partition. This will limit the amount of internal storage (as dalvik will now reside within the same limited partition that your user apps live). I would recommend atleast applying the dalvik2cache mod, but that is your call of course.

Download - DisableDalvik2Dev.zip

If you would rather simply replace it with the Dalvik2Cache mod, here you go.

Download - RestoreDalvik2Cache.zip

Edit: I added these both to the Dalvik2Dev section of DanteRom where I assume you found this mod originally.
