The instructions I found claims that the I can undo cropped images by using the edit command. After I saved the image, the edit command is not available. How can I restore the original image.?

Some apps or software don't allow the undo feature after a save. Best thing to do is create a copy and edit the copy if restoring the original is a concern.

Try this. Open Google Photos, select the picture that you cropped, tap the edit symbol at the bottom, tap Crop and move the corners outside the picture until you get the original image.

Learn something every day.... Didn't know you could undo a crop after saving and exit

That Undo Edits option disappeared in recent updates for Google Photos. I don't know why. I always used those steps to "uncrop" pictures anyway.
