Unexpected AT&T S6 update

Just got some sort of update on my AT&T S6. I noticed this morning there was an update pending (saw notification on lock screen). I never unlocked the phone, I was listening to a podcast when about 10 minutes in the podcast stopped and I saw the phone rebooting.

Still on October security patch, baseband G920AUCS5DPJ1, kernel version dated 10/07/16.

Any ideas?

It's probably the November security patch. I'm on AT&T as well and I'm running baseband version G920AUCS5DPK1.

It still says it's on the October security patch. Also, I'm extremely annoyed that it rebooted and installed when I hadn't clicked anything and I was using it when it rebooted.

Yeah I got excited when I saw this notification this morning. But alas, the actual download size was only 17MB. I'm on the December security patch but I think I was already on that. Baseband version G920AUCS5DPK3.

So why does my AT&T phone, which is not rooted, think it is up to date with G920AUCS5DRJ1? Which has the October security patch?

Complain and you shall receive? I checked for updates and got baseband K1 now, which took me to the November security patch.

That's good. Check again when it will let you and maybe it'll get you up to the December patch, which according to the AT&T update page is the latest.

And after 24 hours I was able to update to the December patch, which it looks like was released Thursday.

Got another one this morning. January security patch. Baseband is now PK5.
