Unfortunately contacts has stopped working

I've noticed since the update if I am using the Internet and I click the phone number in the past it would dial it for me, now I get "unfortunately contacts has stopped working". Any ideas? I have googled it and no one seems to be having this issue....

I just responded to your other post about the back button in the browser. Which device are you using, and did you just get a system update? Wiping the system cache partition might help, but we need to know which device it is.

Thanks for that. I tried clearing it and it still doesn't work. If I do the factory reset do I lose all my information?

Factory reset will completely wipe your phone. Try booting into Safe Mode (instructions at the bottom of that article I linked), which disables all 3rd party apps. If the problem persists, then there may be a problem with the system. If the problem goes away, then something that you installed is probably interfering, but it can be difficult to pinpoint what. Sometimes you just have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem goes away.

I found my issue. Lookout was not communicating with contacts. I had to uninstall Lookout and reinstall it. Thanks for all Ur help!

Thanks for letting us know! I've never heard of Lookout doing that, so I'll file that away in the memory bank.
