unhide goolgle talk friends

I can't for the life of me figure out any otherway to unhide friends in the Google talk app other than going to gmail website and doing it. Is there a way?

You guys know how to cancel an invite? They are still under invite on the app and keep showing up in my gmail chat box as invited.
