I would like to uninstall Google Hindi and Google+ which I have no use for but if I try I get messages that it may cause other apps to misbehave. Is this true?

Do you mean you want to Disable those apps? You can't completely uninstall Google+ (not sure about Hindi) unless you're rooted.

That message is standard. Disabling Google Hindi will certainly be fine. If you Disable Google+, you might not get access to the new Google Photos app (although if you have the stock Gallery app, that should still work for you).

Yes I meant disable. so disabling the Hindi should be OK?

Yes. I also disabled the following on my Nexus 5:

Email (since I only use Gmail)
Exchange Services
Face Unlock
Google Korean keyboard
Google Pinyin
HP Print Service Plugin
News & Weather
Sun Beam
