Unistalled app still stuck on install.

I had an app that was stuck on install. Before researching solutions, I figured I would just uninstall and redownload. Now when I go to the market, it still shows installing so I cannot download. When I go to manage apps it is no longer listed after I uninstalled so I cannot clear data/remove update. Any ideas?

try going to menu>settings>applications>manage applications and then select your market app and force stop it. then try re-opening the market and see if you can install the app then.

OK, I understand now, the Market App itself. So I tried force stop but it didn't work so I tried "uninstall updates". That worked. Thank you so much. I appreciate it.

I'm having the same issue....

Don't see Market app running under "manage applications." Where did you find "unintsall updates"? Wanna try that.

I got it to work!

In case others are having this trouble find this topic, here's what I did:

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications
Find the "Market" app > Force Stop, Clear cache, and clear memory

Problem 100% resolved for me with this. For now, anyway.

Hmmm. I wonder. I've had weird phone issues where the phone app won't work, force closes, etc. I'm going to try this for that and see what happens.
