Unknown hole on top of Samsung A70

[Android Central Question]

Hi all. I was trying to take out my sim and used the little metal tool supplied, to get the sim slot open. Due to me being used to take out the sim on the top of my S8, I forced the tool into the little hole on the top of my A70 just to realise that the sim slot is on the left hand side of my cell. What is that little hole for(.08mm) on the top of my A70, I tried looking for a diagram to explain what it is for with no success. Plse tell me I did not damage my 10 day old phone. Greetings. Those are usually microphones for noise cancellation. Did you damage it? That remains to be seen - if people have a hard time hearing you due to background noise it's possible it was damaged. It may also impact any water resistance rating the phone has.
