I have gotten that twice. You should be able to pull down the notification shade and you should see a notification for Twitter. If not, go to Twitter and open your DM's (Direct Messages). I got the notification today and have before. Sometimes you get a regular DM notification, you open it and then that icon appears and there is usually another notification on your pull down shade. When you tap on that, the DM should open.

If nothing else, go open the first several DM's you have. This is the one I got today.

Thank you for your contribution. I do not have twitter installed. Do not I get any notifications. The icon appears random and the only way I can eliminate it is restarting. I use stock Android 5.0.2. Which version you have?

That is odd.. I had it show up again today, but it was a double notification for one DM on twitter. Maybe it does that for a double notification on any app. It doesn't always pop up with every DM I get.

I'm on 5.1.1.

the first time that I've gone from 4.2.2 to 5.0.2 that icon was not there. After a few days I was hit by a boot loop and I had to reset via Odin. My county is Italy.

That's Greenify. That's its icon when hibernated apps give notifications.

I checked and depends on an experimental feature of Greenify .Thanks for having solved my dilemma.

Yup, I have Greenify on my phone, but I don't get the icon when something is hibernated, but when I'm using it. So far I've only gotten it on Twitter and DM's.

since I removed the flag of all'oppzione Greanfy visible in the screenshot, I'll issue is resolved.
