Unknown picture shows up in gallery

First of all, I am not crazy. I've had my phone since 3/21 so I only have a handful of photos on it and a movie, all showing in the gallery. Today I got home from work, opened up the gallery, and there was an image on there that was not placed in there by me
It looks like part of a company logo or something, not even a complete image of whatever it is.
Does anyone know what apps could have done that? I just have Facebook, which only syncs when I open it, 3 email accounts (stock GMail app plus two accounts in the stock mail app), and dropbox which I use regularly.
The image shows up in Astro File Manager under downloads, and the image info says it arrived today at a time when I was driving in my car
Any ideas??

Do you realize you basically answered your own question, id the image looks like a icon I would say that it is because of a app installed.. Normally apps place .nomedia file into its program folder to avoid the images showing in gallery and it just sounds like one of the apps installed didn't do this.

I wouldn't show concern with this but if you want you can check properties of files and see the files name and then plug phone into pc a mount and search for file, then place a .nomedia file into the folder and then reboot and this will resolve this..

That makes sense but I haven't installed any apps for the past week.
Anyhow, the image is a logo of "NCS envelope services", which after doing some research is some type of mailing service with a religious aspect to it.
Seriously, nothing I've done or received via email, messaging, GTalk can explain why this got there...

Experienced a similar issue, except that some time when I selected the image directory in gallery it simply would kick me out of the app. Sounds like it is either an icon or perhaps an album cover from a music download/transfer?

Have not had the problem since I switched to adrynalyne;s 4.x kernel. But I also deleted a bunch of stock apps which may have been saving these images in directory.

I have this same problem, except it is 3 small thumbnail images from Handcent, do I have to rename the file, or put it into another folder or what?

I had the same problem when I first got the phone...I downloaded Bejeweled and a few other apps and I had about 200 thumbnails with letters, pics from Bejeweled, and mostly Chinese symbols...still confused about that one but I just deleted all of them...

When I delete these pictures, they come back.
