Unlimited data

But only if the sister's line is on a separate account, right? If she is part of the family plan, then upgrading her phone requires the family plan to convert to the new Share Everything plan...correct?

No it does not. you can upgrade one or all phones on a legacy family share plan and keep the same voice plan. Datawise, if you upgrade using a 2year subsidized pricing, then the line(s) that you upgrade would be forced to a tiered data plan, but the other lines not upgraded using a 2 year subsidized pricing would retain unlimited data

Hmmm... Okay... I think that makes sense... Let me throw a scenario by you and tell me what will happen in my situation...

3 Android smartphones on a 700 minute shared plan. Two of the phones are on unlimited data plans. My son's phone is on a 2GB data plan. I upgrade his phone. What happens to his data plan?

Nothing happens to your son's data plan, he stays on a 2 GB plan (unless you increase his data plan yourself). Additionally, your two unlimited lines continue to have unlimited data.

Correct. You could even move the iPhone to one of the unlimited data lines without affecting the other 2 lines unlimited data.

Since you're coming from a Thunderbolt you will have to go into the Verizon store for them to give you a new sim. They are two different sizes. Doesn't cost anything to do if you go into a cooperate store.

More than likely different size Sims and no, they don't send them like that usually.

No way? Really?

I was told that if I want a subsidized phone, that it will require me to move to the Share Everything plan...

So I can get a subsidized phone in my son's situation, but I cannot get a subsidized phone for either of my unlimited lines, right?

And if I do want a subsidized phone for one of the unlimited data lines, I have to move that one line over to the Share Everything Plan? Or can I move it to a 2GB plan like my son's?

Sorry for asking and re-asking the same d*mn question...I just want to be sure I understand...

It would come with the correct sim but the sim that would be included would be tied to your sisters line. You would still need to physically go in a store to get yourself a new sim.

IF you want to keep your plan the line you're going to upgrade has to go EITHER on a Tiered Plan (2GB/30$/month) OR a Family Shared Plan. You can move a phone on an old family plan (say 700 or 1400 shared minutes) to a tiered data plan (starts at $30/2 GB, $10/GB overcharges) and still get a subsidized upgrade.

I just upgraded my wifes line to an S3 tonight, then moved it over to my line with unlimited data. They then put her Thunderbolt back on her line. Our overall plan didnt change a bit and i now have an s3 with unlimited data!
