Help I have inadvertently set up a pattern unlock. How to I get back to a swipe unlock? Those options are not in bold on the menu options and can't be choosen.

Go to settings and select lock screen, then click screen lock. There you can change the screen lock.

I've been there the only options are pin, password and pattern. Swipe is not able to be picked.

That's odd. Can you afford to do a factory reset to restore it to the original settings? That will remove the pattern and give you swipe but be sure to back up your data if you need it.

There should be an option for none. None means no lock aka swype

Most likely what happened is that you setup a corporate email account which forces you to use a PIN/Password lock screen. The only way to go back to swipe-to-unlock would be to remove the corporate email account.

Some ROMs out there do have modified email clients that bypass this, however be warned that you could very well be in violation of your companies policies if you attempt to bypass the security settings.
