Unlocked at&t LG Optimus G Pro

Dear friends,

I am from India. I recently bought an unlocked at&t optimus g pro e980.
When I am trying to update, I am getting the message 'handset not registered'.
How to register it?
Any problems if I changed to Cyanogenmod?
Pl clarify. Thanks in advance.

Does this device use a SIM card? If so to my knowledge you must have an active SIM card in the device to receive updates thru your carrier service/provider.

Welcome! Make sure the SIM card is working properly then try again. If that still doesn't work, it might not be recognizing the network and the update is not being pushed to the device.

I would talk to your carrier about it. The Sim card may be bad.

It is working fine. I am able to make and receive calls and using mobile data with the sim.Before Optimus G Pro, I used Sam Galaxy Siii with the same sim.

Refer your advise, I changed the SIM with new micro sim. But, there is no change. When trying to update, the same message shows like "The device is not registered yet".
How to register it? I am able to make and receive calls and data in 3G. Can you advise pl???

Your carrier might be able to help with that
