Unlocked s20 not updating

I just got a unlocked s20 off swappa. The phone won't update. Says I'm on Android 10 OneUI 2.1 Feb 1, 2020 security patch. Also volte not working even though its togged.

Is there something wrong with the device? My s20 FE updated no problem, and volte works with same provider.

I realize I can update via odin, but why does a phone refuse to update via ota.

That sounds very out of date to me. Should be on at least OneUI 3.0 by now or even 2.5.

In settings>about phone>status say official?
Can u post a screen shot of software page in settings>about phone>software

Thanks everything looks good and it's unlocked version, frija doesn't have the firmware for this which is strange, sammobile does for carrier version on andriod 11

What's the return period? Definitely start a conversation through swappa incase you might have to .

Ok I just flashed the latest SM-G981U1 firmware using Odin. Had to use the patched version as I was getting sha256 is invalid error with the regular version. Now I'm on Android 11 UI 3.1 March 1, 2021 security.

Hopefully phone will update normally from here on out.

I used Frija 1.4.3.0 I had to use the patched version of Odin because I kept getting sha256 is invalid. But it flashed flawlessly with the patched version.

I'll have to check again tomorrow, I looked up the firmware and didn't show , glad the patched worked for you .
