What's the different between the two variants? Can someone please post the specs for the two.

TY

there is no difference spec wise.

the difference is bloatware. you want you service bloatware? yes? no? if yes go with locked because they're tied to the service, you dont go unlocked.

Thanks, I was just looking for the spec but having hard time finding one.

The last carrier locked phone I bought was an LG Thrive running Android 2.2.2 Froyo. My first smartphone. Although I'm not sure how "smart" you could actually call it lol. Still was a good little phone though.

I usually get an unlocked phone Samsung, but ordered the T-MOBILE variant by mistake this time. I a debating on sending it back, but it might be awhile before I get another one with all the delays. I guess I am stuck with this one

Dont sweat it , Tmobile very close to unlocked version with minimal bloat .

Basically stock Samsung software vs carrier modified software.

I know with Verizon there isn't much bloat anymore, just a few apps preinstalled which are mostly useful if you have Verizon service and features anyway. They also remove Samsung text from other devices, cloud, and the ability to remotely unlock the device with your Samsung account.

Carriers used to preinstall games and other apps like Facebook and blocked them from being deleted.
