Unlocking Bootloader and Updates

I'm not a total noob, but this is my first Nexus device/device with an unlockable bootloader. So, simple question: does unlocking the bootloader interfere with receiving official updates from Google/Samsung/VZW?

I know that rooting does, but I'm unclear as to whether or not this is the case with a simple unlock.

From what I understand you can Unlock and Root and still get OTA updates as long as you are still using the Stock ROM. It is when you start Flashing Roms that you may have to go back to factory to get OTA. Check this link out too.

No, updates continue as normal when you unlock the bootloader. You can still take an OTA even if you're rooted, as long as you're 100% stock. It will break root though obviously
