Unpopular Opinion but....

I'm excited for the flat screen again too. I didn't mind the curve but definitely would prefer the flat screen over curved.
I prefer symmetry, lol. if you're going to have a flat screen, have a flat back, too. the old Note 5 had a flat screen but a curved back. I briefly owned the P8P and liked the flat screen. alas, the back was curved. I'm OCD that way. ;) looks like the S24U will have that symmetry. nice.

I can't blame people who don't turn their phone on for preferring it,but I think curved displays look weird in use, especially in landscape.

You probably shouldn't get me started on how absolutely stupid I've always thought it was to have the phone with the stylus also be the one with the curved screen though. Design genius!Who doesn't like the experience of taking notes on a pickle jar?

The curved screen was a cool concept back when Samsung first introduced it and only curved one side, but then they had to get cute and curve both sides, initially by a substantial amount, then making more subtle.

I LOVE the symmetry of the bezel on the S24U and the appearance of the flat panel.

But I think many are overlooking the new features of the S24U's LTPO display (in addition to previously referenced slimmer and fully symmetric bezels) in that it's capable of 2600 nits brightness.

I think the S23U was like 1700 nits? Direct sunlight doesn't stand a chance against the S24U!

I kinda missed the curve on my 22 ultra when I traded it in for the 23 ultra. I definitely hated trying to put screen protectors on curved devices.

Curved screens help with grip. For instance the Pixel 7 pro was a joy to hold. But the Pixel 8 pro much more slippery in hand IMO.

I'm holding off on the Ultra this year until I start reading feedback concerning the in hand feel.

I like the flat and I also like the curve so don't mind and looking forward to a change of pace.

I'm the same.. I like both. I'm newer to a curved screen, so I still like the novelty of the "waterfall look", but I don't like the accidental touches. I've got big hands and it causes me to hold the phone differently 😕

I also agree with others, a phone with a stylus shouldn't have a curved screen... who wants to write on a pickle jar 😉 (plagiarized from fuzzylumpkin lol).
