After I updated my phone to 7.0 , I noticed that the tesla Unread messages for Nova prime no longer show up. Any ideas?

If you haven't yet, try clearing the system cache and see if that fixes the issue. I had no issue with Tesla unread after the upgrade to OOS 4.0.

If that doesn't fix it, then uninstall Tesla unread and re-install. I had one mis-behaving app (Timely) that took this step to fix it in Nougat.

Hopefully one of those options will get it fixed for you.

Thanks guys. I actually deleted the app and downloaded again. Seems to be working now. Probably should have done this before I posted 😬

I had the same problem with Tesla Unread and Nougat. Once I found this thread, I went ahead and uninstalled TU, then reinstalled it. Works perfect now. Thanks guys!

I only tried Nova since upgrading to Nougat
I like Nova but Tesla Unread works on GMail but not on SMS apps (tried several) or Feedly

TU works fine for SMS apps for me. I use Textra (but have also used Messenger and briefly tried Messages). Make sure you go into TU settings and enable whatever app you want unread counts for.

I've the same issue after recent OS update and contacted tesla for the fix.

Fix For OnePlus:

System Settings -> Battery -> Menu -> Aggressive Doze & App Hibernation(Turn these off completely)

Also under that menu High Power Usage Apps, if Nova Launcher/TeslaUnread show here, disabled them

System Settings -> Advanced -> Recent App Management -> Normal Clear should be set, not Deep Clear

Apps -> Settings -> Apps Auto Launch(Turn this on in the top right corner and turn it on for Nova Launcher and TeslaUnread)

Once you have that set, it should work properly and stop turning itself off. However, if you're not using one of the above branded devices, then it's probably something very similar that you need to do. If you can't find anything similar then you will need to contact the manufacturer of your device.

But the above didn't worked for me. But reinstalling did the trick. Thanks!

I found the the upgrade turned off the option to display unread counts. So I simply turned it back on and it works fine.

Also, an upgrade to Messenger now provides an unread count for Messenger (which was missing before).
