Unrevoked not recognizing Evo

I am using a Macbook Air running the latest Snow Leopard build. When I boot up unrevoked, it tells me to plug in my phone and put it into USB Debugging mode. However, when I do this, my phone still isn't recognize and Unrevoked just hangs on the screen. What should I do?

Do you have htc sync uninstalled and the unrevoked drivers installed?

Well, they are, but the strange part is that the computer recognizes a device plugged in, but the computer doesn't recognize it as THE Evo.
