Unrooted using superuser need help

I want to upgrade to kitkat, but after I unrooted I go to software updates and it hangs then goes back to the main screen. Any ideas. I did not format. Please help!

You want to take the OTA update to 4.4?
Are you aware that it limits apps writing to the sd card?

You would be better off installing a 4.4 ROM if you unlocked your bootloader.

Aside from that, if your device status says modified or the Knox counter was tripped that can cause the update to fail.

I unrooted already is there any way you could help me get, 4.4 and provide a good rom?

Can you walk me step by step. I am not familiar with installing a rom

I don't know if your bootloader is unlocked or not.
If it isn't and you're on 4.3, you can't unlock it without going thru quite a bit.
