unrooting problem

ok so i purchased roothelperpro updated the tools and installed 0.99b to allow my phone to get OTA updates. now when i try to start my droid in recovery mode to check and see if 0.99b is ony it the phone does not go past the motorola screen. it will load normally and work fine other wise, but i want to take it back to factory so i can get 2.1 when it comes out. i can use any help i can get.
