Hello,

Bought this off a deal site and it came unlocked. I want it locked to get it from 4.2.1 to the 4.3 update it offered me.

When it updated it said error. Then that is when I realized it was rooted.

I saw one way having to hook it up to a pc. The tablet didn't come with a cable, but it isn't the size cell phones use. Is it a proprietary cable?

I didn't see any instructions on here how to unroot it. I don't want to use something random off Google or Youtube. What do you suggest?

I don't mind sideloading a rom from a reputable source to get it to the latest supported version of Android (not lollypop).

Thanks

one very easy solution is to use Wugs Nexus root toolkit. just download that program onto your computer select the rom you're currently running on your Nexus then click the flash stock + unroot box and let it run its course. several videos & tutorials on how to use the toolkit on youtube if you have troubles :)
