I rooted my phone yesterday and have gotten in over my head. I thought I was competent enough, but it has just turned into a huge headache and I wish I could go back. I feel like something has gone wrong during every step of the way.

I would like to unroot my poor phone.

As much as I am loathe to admit it, I don't understand most of the instructions given in forums. Would anybody be so kind as to dumb down some help for me?

I'm not sure if it's allowed here, but I would be willing to tip someone for their time.

Thanks!

Actually, if it would be easier, if there is some way I can reinstall the stock google calendar app, I could live with my rooted phone. I know I am an idiot and I deserve it, but I had no idea that Jorte ran over the stock app, and so deleted it. :|

I have searched all over the internet for a couple of hours now, and found solutions in other forums, but none of them have worked for me.

What method did you use to flash your phone? Do you have custom recovery or stock?
Are you using stock rom?

I would suggest using rom tools and install a custom recovery or install custom recovery in terminal emmulator. Then if you still want to stay stock flash a stock zip found on this forum. That would give you what you need back. Then if you decide to try a rom later all you have to do is flash it. But if you want to unroot the follow the sticky mmarz wrote.

I have discovered that there are several other problems with the phone, including gmail will no longer sync.

If I were to do the factory data reset, would all of these stock apps come back? I don't really care about having to reinstall my apps; all I'd loose are some angry birds scores.

I continue to try to make a recovery or install a stock rom, but none of it will work. I have no idea what to do here.

As tacky as it may be, I will transfer money through paypal to anyone willing to hand-hold me through this. A ton of stuff is going on right now, and I just need the two most important features of my phone to work again.

We can help if we know where you're stuck. What rom are you using, version, etc? Rooted is far better than stock, and don't do a factory reset. Pm me if you have a messenger and ill help if you rlly need it
