Are you struggling with your beloved pic scrolling out across all 5 screens on the desktop? After a lot of research and head-banging I have come to realize this is a problem for many new Droiders. I merely wanted a picture of The Beatles Past Masters Vol. 1. The Droid Razr wanted to set it as a pic across all five of the scrollable pages on the desktop. That created an over-sized picture that had little aesthetic value.
After reading lots of posts from many forums, I still had found no solutions. Re-sizing is not the answer despite all the folks out there who thought it might help. Believe me, trying Paint, Paint Shop Pro, and Photoshop did not solve my problem. Why? Because no matter what re-size you do, the final pic will still be one image on the Droid, and there does not appear to be a non-scrolling feature within the Droid itself.
I finally took the advice of some posters and tried an App that looked like it held promise of deliverance.
Wallpaper Wizardrii.
The App is free. Download through the Android Market. Once it opened, I set it to non-scrolling, opened the pic I wanted, got a note about a possible problem with size and scroll characteristics that proved to be nothing at all, and then went back to my desktop. Perfect! All five pages of my desktop have the same full image, no scrolling, no falling off the page, not over or undersized, and clean! This took me (literally) five minutes! Made my day.
I recommend this App to everyone trying to do the same thing. I would have paid for this program, but it was free and flawless. And by the way, I'm not a reseller, just a very happy user.
