I have a HTC One S, it's my first smartphone (had it for a couple of months), so I'm stll learning about all the different bits, updates, etc.
A couple of days ago I installed the new Android update. There weren't any issues at first (except that my favourite clock was gone, but that's another story). :'(
About an hour after installing the update, I was having an sms conversation and an undelivered message icon appeared next to the person's name in the message list. I have gone through the message thread and there are no undelivered/failed messages. I have googled this problem for two days and tried some suggestions, ie - using the History Eraser app (didn't work), clearing memory cache (I can't even find that option anymore in Settings after the update), restarting the phone. Trying to avoid doing a factory reset because I don't want to lose all apps and data, etc.
Has anyone had the same problem? It's been slowly driving me mad for 2 days now. Please help!! :-\

Thanks for your reply :)
Unfortunately this triangle doesn't work like that, because there is no actual failed message. When I hit the red triangle it just opens the message thread.

I know. Im not talking about the Notification... You have to find the message that didnt send. it will have a red triangle next to it. hold that message and delete it

I know, but there is no message with a red triangle next to it. The red triangle only shows in Inbox view, not in thread view.

I get random Failed To Send notifications on my Note8 and S8 since the latest update. The messages are going through but are being shown as Failed. I am very open to suggestions as to how to fix this issue.

Thanks,
Keith
