Up & Awake time

Can someone please explain these two different times to me? I know the awake time has something to do with the battery but not sure the significance. My awake time right now is 37%. Should it be at zero?

Well, unless I am mistaken, up time is the amount of time since the phone was started, and awake time is the amount of time that the phone was active and not sleeping (i.e., the display powered off.) Mine is right now at 9% after 36 hours (I restarted the other day to check for a new roaming list using #228 option 2); mine generally stays between 8% and 10%.
