Update 1.80.617.81

The HTC 10 does have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, an easy access to the flashlight in the quick settings. What do you guys want to be able to put their.

Power save option and not the extreme thats there. I'd rather put what i want there and not have the defaults ones they've chosen for us.

Because they work

I've never used them. Even on the M9, which was worse on battery life than my M8 was. The 10 gets me through an entire day without inhibiting the SoC, no problem. I just don't see the point of buying a flagship phone only to inhibit it's abilities. So I guess I'm just looking for a more in depth answer rather than, "it just works". Works for what?

1) because we want better battery life

2) because we can

OK, I was looking for instances in which you turn the modes on. Like real world use. I have yet stick this phone on a charger twice in one day. I get up around 430am and it doesn't go on the charger until I go to bed, around 1030pm. So maybe it's just me, but I don't see a use for them. I was honestly asking because I am curious what you guys use them for. I would use extreme power saver mode if I was in a desperate situation and knew I wouldn't be able to find a charge for a while. That's real world use. If you want it just to have it fine. I'm just wondering what you use it for and how often. If I can utilize a feature for something I didn't know about, I'd surely not let it go to waste.

The reason I use it because the battery drain on this phone just like most Android phones is more than what I like. I have the same apps on iOS and Android and set their background refresh to off and using doze I set them to always optimize and limit the location usage to only the apps that I want. But once I install all my apps on Android, the battery drain becomes high.

My apps are:

Whatsapp
Vyber
Skype
Facebook
Fenix (Twitter client)
Instagram
Waze
Google Maps
Google Earth
Google Street View
Chrome Browser
AIDA64
AnTuTu
Google News Reader
Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Easy Protein (calorie/protein intake tracker that works when you open it only)
Private Internet Access (/VPN)

That's why I turn on low power mode as the phone functionality doesn't get affected and I don't notice any real slowdown in real world usage since I don't play games on my phone anyway so I try to squeeze more juice out of the thing.

Yeah I keep power saver on throught the work day, it doesn't noticeably hinder performance. I also keep my brightness on the lowest setting, location off, data off, Wi-Fi off until they are needed. I only charge my phone once a day. It charges in the morning at 7:30, and by 7:30 the next morning is at about 40% . It's just on the m8 you could arrange them and remove the unwanted ones. I don't want airplane mode, calculator, or hot spot up there, and I'd like to have power save instead of extreme power saver

Look, i'm speaking for my device and myself. The power save feature is very convenient to have in the quick settings. I use it a lot because i use the hotspot feature in the field for work and power save have enabled me to get an entire days worth and still have plently left over at the end of the day. And like I said before it just works. If you're that curious about the feature try it yourself. That is the only way you'll know if will be for you. Thats about as in depth as you're getting from me. Also, i dont consider the powersave inhibiting its abilities. Its just a feature you can turn on or off. This isnt complicated.

Yeah but even Google allows you to edit Quick Settings through their "System UI Tuner" hidden menu, Looks like HTC have disabled this

Cant understand why though... I cant even disable/enable "Email Sync" on or off.. Ive had to add the shortcut to my desktop.

Maybe/hopefully they'll enable it with an update. We should be able to change it if its allowed in Vanilla Android I would think.
