[Update] Adobe Flash 11.0 (Tested & Working)

Re: Adobe Flash 10.3 (Tested & Working)

Ahhh. I get what you're saying about Flash 11.0 now.

Yes, it should work on stock ROMs with the method on xda you are looking at

You'll need root access and a program like Root Explorer in order to edit items in the "data" section.

Throw the lib file on your SD card > to move it, long press on the file and choose "move" (in Root Explorer) > navigate to /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib and hit the "Mount R/W" button and then "Paste"

To change permissions on the .so files, just long press on them and choose "Permissions"

Post back if any of that doesn't make sense or you get stuck and I'll see what I can do to help.

Re: Adobe Flash 10.3 (Tested & Working)

The problem is that when you reboot the phone, the files that are transfered come off. So you have to repeat the process each time. There must be a better way (without installing a custom rom).

Re: Adobe Flash 10.3 (Tested & Working)

Being on a cooked ROM, I haven't actually used this method. I'm not sure what's going on with your device, but the files should stay in place once mounted. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Just curious, how is the performance of v11 on the Optimus S? I don't imagine that you would get a great frame rate for watching content...

Couldn't tell you how it works on the Optimus S since I have a V, but on my overclocked CM7 OV it works pretty well. Youtube isn't great, but other sites like Newgrounds play without lag and at a decent frame rate. Better than not being able to watch them at all.

I had tried 10.2 using wifi and performance was great. No lag whatsoever.
This was website dependent, as justintv was a little laggy but thedailyshow.com or cnn was not.

Ill give 11 a try, see if performance is better. Id like to watch hulu :)

just to put my two cents worth in, i am running an LG670 with cyanogenmod 7.1.0.2 with included kernel with gapps-20111119-with VVM fix.

i just d/l to pc and transfered to sd externally plugged it into phone and installed through phones browser, i know it can pr adb pushed but im not smrt enuf to do it installed Adobe_FlashPlayer_11.0.1.152 and went to adobes site on accident and it worked perfectly.

if even a noob like me can do it you know it has to work...
