I travel alot for work and need to manually change my time on my phone on occasion and leave it there to be on a local time, such as a cruise ship. I turn off auto time and auto timezone. But after a day or so it turns itself back on. I'm assuming when i take it out of airplane mode or we pass by a tower. It will keep turning itself on without my assistance. Which puts me on a different time than what i need to be. Has anyone seen this and do you know how to turn it off permanently. i am running android 14. I go into settings/general management/date and time and switche the toggles to have automatic date and time to off and automatic time zone to off.

Thanks for all and any information.

I can't quite tell from doing a web search, but do Samsung devices on One UI 6.1 still have a scheduled Auto-Restart option? If so, could it be that the options are defaulting back to ON after a scheduled auto-restart?

yes, it will toggle back on by itself. i would like to remain off permanently. I know it sounds weird, but believe it or not there are places in the world that the time change is 30 mins instead of an hour. i work for a cruise line and there's nothing worse than waking up in the morning and being late becasue we passed a tower on land and my phone decided to change times. ha!

thanks for the responses. I'll just have to live with it. Doesn't look like there is a way to correct it without some programming of some sort. It must turn itself back on when i come out of airplane mode and recieves a signal from somewhere. That's the only thing i can think of.

Just another update. Working for a cruise line, i travel alot. I'm currently in the Caribbean. so last night we had to change our clocks ahead one hour. So i did it manually before going to bed, so when i woke up i would be on local time. I woke up and my clock was right. Now here's the bizarre part, i checked the toggles for auto time and day, they were off. then i went and checked my email via the ships wifi. Played a game for a few minutes and surfed the internet some. As i was doing all of this, my toggles for auto date and time toggle on withoout my input. Wth!

Have you considered setting a countdown alarm instead? ie You go to bed at midnight, need to get up at 7am, set an alarm for 7 hrs duration.
Good luck
