Update for Fascinate just pushed to phone.

My wife just called me an stated here phone had an update sent to it. She declined it, just like i told her to do. Anyone know anything about an update today? Im not home with her now so can look at what is going on. She is not real techy, just a make it work kind of girl. Didnt know anything was comming.

There still are phones out there that haven't gone to DL09 for whatever reason. I'm sure thats the case here.

I'm still running DJ05 because I'm on a custom rom/kernel.... I really don't want DL09 right now.

It's probably the DL09 update. Some people are reporting they still haven't received it.

I think thats it. It doesnt show an update availble right now and she does not have that update. Just want to make sure because to be frank i dont trust samsung at this point. This will be the last sumsung device i buy, really as far as that goes any samsung device. It only takes once for me thats why i dont buy sony or apple products.

Out of curiosity, what do you think is wrong with Samsung products?

Customer support, sending out a product with a faulty gps signal (that they new about). Forced bing. Delays, delays, delays. This is my wife’s phone in general she is happy with it. The things i have been concerned with the most was the GPS signal. We moved to a new area and she needed this option to get around and get back home. Then hearing the problem with the 911 lock screen problem made me wonder what is going on we get an update that’s way late and has problems. I have a concern(as most people should that have loved ones with this phone) if my wife has an emergency situation and has to call 911 not only may it be more difficult to call 911 they also may not be able to locate her if the gps is not getting a signal.
