I decided to report the issue to Samsung, just to make sure it is logged. And this is what I got back:
Samsung said:Thank you for taking the time to contact us at Samsung Technical Support. We always appreciate hearing from our customers.
It must be inconvenient as your phone (SM-G925T) is unable to work with the Pioneer 4100NEX.
Thank you for the screen shot provided. I can understand your requirement in getting the issue fixed and this is not a known issue at Samsung. However, I will be glad to assist in providing the required information.
Here are a few suggestions to fix this issue:
1) DISABLE BLUETOOTH:
Please try disabling the Bluetooth on your phone and try connecting it to the Pioneer 4100NEX.
2) ALTERNATE CABLE:
If the issue persists, please try connecting an alternate cable and check if you are experiencing the same issue as before.
3) ALTERNATE BLUETOOTH DEVICE:
Also, please try connecting your phone with an alternate Bluetooth device and check with the result. This helps you to isolate whether the issue is with the phone or with the cable.
If the issue persists even after trying with an alternate cable and on an alternate Bluetooth device, it seems that the issue might be with the phone.
In this case, please try performing the Soft Reset on your phone. Soft reset refreshes the internal settings of the device.
a. Press and hold down the Volume down Key and the Power Key for approximately 7 seconds.
b. The device should now reset.
You can try the above steps if you have not performed them after the issue started. Trying soft reset resolves the issue most of the times.
If the issue persists even after performing the Soft Reset, the issue might be with the third-party applications installed (if any). It may be necessary to boot your device in Safe mode if you wish to troubleshoot whether or not added applications are causing problems with the device. Safe mode will load only basic system software.
Follow the general steps below to boot your device into Safe mode.
a. Power off the device.
b. Press and Hold the Power Key.
c. When the Samsung Galaxy S6 Logo displays, release the Power Key and immediately hold down the Volume down Key.
d. Keep holding down the Volume down key until the device boots up completely.
e. If successful, the Safe Mode dialogue will appear on the device screen in the bottom left corner.
f. To exit Safe Mode, reset the device as normal.
If the device is working as expected after you put the device into Safe Mode, the issue may be due to a recently updated or installed app.
Kindly perform the above mentioned steps and I am positive that the issue will be fixed.
