I saw on the front page saying an update for the ATT version of the S3 was being pushed. On twitter Sprint is pushing an update also. Below is the link and for those that don't want to go to the link is what is being updated. I hope that the "Call Standby" bug is fixed also.

Samsung Galaxy SIII Software Update - L710VPLI3

Enhancements/Fixes

- Inclusion of SWYPE keyboard

- Improved LTE connectivity

- SMS Messaging improvements

- EAS sync improvements

Great news! However, it's not yet pushing to my device yet. Definitely need improved LTE connectivity...we'll see. The stock keyboard is crap, which was really disappointing after the excellent integration in my SII...err, Epic Touch 4G or whatever Sprint called it. Been using Swype beta, but I'm eager to see what this update brings.

Also, I have been having MAJOR text message issues on my device. Originally it seemed as though my new Air Rave (received about 2 weeks after I got got my SIII) was causing problems, but those seems to be resolved via a series of tech support calls. Since then (about 6 weeks), I frequently have random text messages show sent on my phone but they never get received by the recipient. Happens to Sprint, Verizon and AT&T numbers, so it's hard to imagine it's the recipients' carrier. The issue is totally random...I can be texting back and forth with someone and all of the sudden (or sometimes way after the fact) I discover that one of my messages never showed up to the recipient. Also, I frequently have the first part of messages >160 characters not show up, i.e., the recipient gets message 2/2 but not 1/2. Anyone else experience any such issues with texts?

I like the part of "Improved LTE". But...

I would suggest for people to wait a week before installing this though.
Back when I was using the Optimus S, Sprint crippled that phone with every update they sent out. I did not update my phone and just watched how people complained about the last update, and how days later Sprint pulled out the update. After weeks of waiting I just flashed a rom that contained the update + fixes to it (thanks to the community).

Given that its a radio update makes me hold out even more. Just in case root will be broken with the update.

"- Improved LTE connectivity"

I'd be happy with 3G connectivity but the service is terrible where I live.

Understandable but they can't update the connectivity for the 3g since that's the network they have to update. This lte update helps it hold the signal better because even in good areas people kept just losing lte randomly. That's what it means by improved lte :)

Actually, Almeuit, any update they send out that has to deal with radios in general can affect connectivity with any of the services.
A great example of that is when i had my GS2. Several of their updates messed up GPS, some it borked WiFi and others it messed with 3G speeds.
When the GS2 there were many issues with their updates.
But i will give say that with the GS3 so far none of the updates have taken a step backwards. Im on LG8 update and the device for me is solid.
At my office i get 4G, at home i get strong 3G.. did a speed test about 6pm yesterday and got 1.5 megs down on 3G..
