Update locked my phone

[AC Question]

I've updated my HTC one and now i can't unlock my phone. It says type password but the keyboard doesn't come up only speak now option. I've even tried saying the password to the phone but nothings happening.....what do I do???

You may need to factory wipe it... I've never heard of this. It sounds like the update definitely broke something. Try logging in on a PC to the Android Device Manager and see if you can wipe it there.

I have the same problem with my HTC One witch is password protected. Any solution? I don't want to loose my data.
