Update!! Losing My Mind!

Killing those Blockbuster processes won't make a difference. Those are parts of Verizon bloatware and minutes after you kill those processes, the phone automatically starts them again.

I just stopped the BB update process.

I was talking about the two processes called PVMtpServiceStart and PVWmdrmService. Disabling movie updates does help battery life, though.

oh.. They haven't started again after ~5 hours. maybe it is all in my mind.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong... How do you kill the processes. I went to Settings ->Applications ->Running Apps and forced close those processes. They pop back up again in minutes on my device.

I did the same thing you did. Check this thread out (if I can post links)

PVMtpServiceStart killing battery - Page 2 - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

Some folks in that thread say that it might go away for a few days etc and then resurface. It seems to be related to the blockbuster app and a solution is in the thread actually. (disabling BB updates doesn't help things) I might be making a mountain out of a mole hill here friends. Worth looking at though,

hmm, call, complain, free extended battery? might have to try this.
Hi Dirt,
I didn't purposely complain for extended battery I basically was fed up and called to cancel my account because I couldn't use the phone for no more than two hours, that's when they switched me to tech support and they looked up all the complaints I have been calling in for and offered it to me. And I must say the extended battery takes away all headache its worth every penny If i knew then what I know now I would have purchased it when I first got the phone. But try anyway :) ask to be transferred to Tech support and let them know what your issues are.
