Update now available for me: worth it to lose free hotspot?

For over a week now I keep getting messages asking that I download the update; I was rejecting until about 3 days ago when I decided hey OK. But everytime it tries the update, I get an error message after awhile. I even started getting these requests 2-3 times daily. So yesterday I decided I was going to try really hard to get the update. No success at all even after 4 tries, including battery pull. So I've decided to just reject. Not my problem that Verizon can't figure out how to get the update to me & when I click on MHS, I do not get any message notifying me that there's going to be a charge. WTF - & oh well.
