In the new OS update there will be an orange little dot on the left of the watch screen to let you know you have an unread message.

Not sure that I even want that.

as i understand, cellular phones usually are carrier based and as such when a new version of the operating system comes out (eg. marshmallow), the carrier has to modify the operating system to their specifications... this, understandably, takes more time for the said o.s. to be deployed. considering the gear s2 sport isn't carrier specific and thus requires none of that modification ... why the heck is it taking so long for the announced updates (battery optimisation and/or other) to reach us?

Thanks! I thought the last update broke something since I hadn't noticed that before... and the orange dot was showing up on every watch face.

I am located in Colorado and received and installed the update two days ago. Unfortunately, after installing the update my Gear S2 Silver no longer tracks distance, speed or calories when I walk. Has anyone else who has received the update experienced any problems?
